High-energy gravitational scattering and black hole resonances

چکیده
Aspects of super-planckian gravitational scattering and black hole formation are investigated, largely via a partial-wave representation. At large and decreasing impact parameters, amplitudes are expected to be governed by single graviton exchange, and then by eikonalized graviton exchange, for which partial-wave amplitudes are derived. In the nearSchwarzschild regime, perturbation theory fails. However, general features of gravitational scattering associated with black hole formation suggest a particular form for amplitudes, which we express as a black hole ansatz. We explore features of this ansatz, including its locality properties. These amplitudes satisfy neither the Froissart bound, nor apparently the more fundamental property of polynomial boundedness, through which locality is often encoded in an S-matrix framework. Nevertheless, these amplitudes do satisfy a macroscopic form of causality, expressed as a polynomial bound for the forward-scattering amplitude. ∗ Email address: [email protected] † Email address: [email protected]

Comparison of the Accuracy of Black Hole Algorithms and Gravitational Research and the Hybrid Method in Portfolio Optimization
The main purpose of this research is portfolio optimization in Tehran securities exchange using the black hole algorithm and the Gravitational Research algorithm. We also propose an algorithm named Hybrid Algorithm which combines the two algorithms above to cover the weaknesses of these two algorithms. Finally we compare the results with the Markowitz model and choose the optimal algorithm.<br ...
متن کاملPlanckian Energy Scattering , Colliding Plane Gravitational Waves and Black Hole Creation
In a series of papers Amati, Ciafaloni and Veneziano and 't Hooft conjectured that black holes occur in the collision of two light particles at planckian energies. In this paper we discuss a possible scenario for such a process by using the Chandrasekhar-Ferrari-Xanthopoulos duality between the Kerr black hole solution and colliding plane gravitational waves. We clarify issues arising in the de...
متن کاملThe Orbital Statistics of Stellar Inspiral and Relaxation near a Massive Black Hole: Characterizing Gravitational Wave Sources
We study the orbital parameters distribution of stars that are scattered into nearly radial orbits and then spiral into a massive black hole (MBH) due to dissipation, in particular by emission of gravitational waves (GW). This is important for GW detection, e.g. by the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA). Signal identification requires knowledge of the waveforms, which depend on the orbit...
متن کاملEikonal Approach to Planck Scale Physics
We consider gravitational scattering of point particles with Planckian centre-of-mass energy and fixed low momentum transfers in the framework of general relativity and dilaton gravity. The geometry around the particles are modelled by arbitrary black hole metrics of general relativity to calculate the scattering amplitudes. However, for dilaton gravity, this modelling can be done only by extre...
متن کاملThe Exact String Black - Hole behind the hadronic Rindler horizon ?
The recently suggested interpretation [1] of the universal hadronic freeze-out temperature T f (≃ 170 Mev) – found for all high energy scattering processes that produce hadrons: e + e − , pp, p¯ p, πp, etc. and N N ′ (heavy-ion collisions) – as a Unruh temperature triggers here the search for the gravitational black-hole that in its near-horizon approximation better simulates this hadronic phen...
